Talk to your pharmacist.
In the meantime cranberry juice should help a little.

Urine infections are one of the few common infections that are best treated by antibiotics, every time and sooner rather than later. If you are very uncomfortable or have a fever contact NHS Direct/24, if not contact your practise in the morning. In the meantime drink plenty of clear fluids. The old wives's tale of cranberry juice has been disproved, it is no better than any other fluid, but it refuses to go away because it is such ingrained mythology.

You need to drink lots of water and get some Cystemme or Cystopurin from the pharmacy. They help to neutralise the acidity of the urine so it's not as painful when you wee.
You probably need a course of trimethoprim or ciprofloxacin to clear it up though. Blood in the urine, a temperature or back pain means the infection has spread to your kidneys and you need to see a doctor.

you can try cranberry juice. unfortunately there aren't many home remedies that help with uti's. the tract and the opening for it are so small that topical treatments don't really work well. it usually takes an antibiotic. if you could get your hands on some pyridium, it would help with the burning sensation until the antibiotics wipe it out. it turns your pee kinda oragen-red but does wonders. skip the diflucan because it's for yeast infections. and yogurt helps restore intestinal bacteria but won't do much for uti's.

take a bath>go to your local pharmacy and they sell these little sticks like pregnancy test to test your ph something level and determine wether you have an infection or not. but anyhow I would recomend vagisil. When i hold my pee to long i feel like I have to go pee and it burns when i pee i put salt in my belly button and drink a lot of water. you can always talk to the pharmacist and tell her that your friend destiny thinks she has an infection and tell her what you feel that way you will get medical advise if the problem persists go to your doc. asap. good luck!

You really need to see your GP, if left it can then infect your kidneys which is very painful and takes longer to get over.
I have heard that drinking cranberry juice can help. See your GP first and get some juice later.

If you think you have one you need to go to the doctor. If you don't get it treated right way it can spread to your kidneys. The best way to tell if you have an infection is to get your urine tested.

If you can get to a chemist, get some Diflucane One - or its generic equivulent. Otherwise try calamine lotion on a pad of cotton wool, or even witch hazel - both will sooth the itch and burn. A cool bath will help too as will pouring a jug of cool water over yourself when you wee.
