It brought us closer to the Britains and the French in the world and also helped us become a super power. The outcome of the war would not have change due to the fact that we joined so late in the war. However war is an economic boost particularly for those who fight it on foreign soils. That and the politics of post WWI allowed the US to solidify its place in the world.
