Greed is one of the original 7 deadly sins. It encompasses a lust (another deadly sin) for more...whatever that may be. That way I believe that Greed is like lust and gluttony-gluttony is greed of food/drink/sex and of course we know what lust is.

Want! want and want again. People can never have enough and even when they have they still want bigger, better, faster etc. Its an insatiable need to compensate for the emptiness in their lives and it still will not satisfy them. Poor fools!
