2(4) + 3y = 11
8 + 3y = 11
3y = 11-8

so
4x + 6y = 22
5x - 6y = 14
delete the 6y because they r the same
add the equations
9x = 36
x= 4
put x = 4 into the first equation
2( x 4) + 3y = 11
8 + 3y = 11
3y = 11 - 8
3y = 3
y = 1

x = 4
y = 1
