I would say Cartoons or Manga. This is because they are free roaming genres of art. Meaning you can let your mind go free with ideas, drawing anything on ure mind and in any style. Theres no real "rules" to drawing other than not being a real life object or looking like its real. A cartoon is something that every single person in the world can draw. Its pretty muc their way of drawing things looking "un-real" or not looking as if it was a picture taken of something real and pasted on a piece of paper. So cartoons would be your best bet, because you can go free, and in any style you draw in!

Beginners start out as beginners and learn as they go. Start with ANY style that you like. Try to imitate the styles of others and see if that feels comfortable for you. Try cartooning. Try drawing everything you see. Try doodling. Search online for 'tutorials' for drawing and follow their step by step instructions.

You learn as you go, and your style WILL change every so often. The more practice and playing you do with this, the easier it gets.

Piet Mondrian. He is very easy, all you need is a ruler and acrylic paint (primaries). Check this link out for info, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piet_Mondrian and this one for his work, http://www.artcyclopedia.com/artists/mondrian_piet.html . He was from the Da Stijl (The Style) movement in the early 1900's

Mark Rothko. He's pretty easy too just acrylic paint. Check this link out for his work, http://www.artcyclopedia.com/artists/rothko_mark.html. And this site for some info about him, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Rothko. He was an abstract expressionist painter.

Hope this has helped!! Good luck on your project!
