IF YOU'RE A MAN, YOU REALLY DON'T WANT TO READ THIS, SO JUST FIND ANOTHER QUESTION!!!

Ok, so ladies, I have recently started seeing a new guy. We have had unprotected sex a few times, and a few days before we started getting it on, I was on my period. Once I got off my period, I noticed that I had more of a smell than usual and also an itch that just didn't seem normal. After my period had been done for a few days, the smell went away. I thought this was normal, but who knows. The problem is, I still have the itch. Can anyone explain to me what might be the problem? Why is my vag so god dam* itchy??? Thanks ladies.

I know that he doesn't have any STD's, he just recently got tested. I was with only 1 man for a year before him, and neither one of us have anything. Please tell me this is just a yeast infection!

Well, I'm 21 years old and I do not have any STD's. Should I try an OTC Yeast Infection cream?

Sounds like you could possibly have gotten something from him. First and most obvious answer would be to go to your GYN right away to get checked out. One final note--ALWAYS use protection. It only takes 1 time to contract a disease.

There are some questions you may want to think about. How long has it been since you have had intercourse (before this new guy?) If it has been a while, you may have a condition usually referred to as "honeymoon cystitis. Honeymoon cystitis is the term for a urinary tract infection that can occur as a result of irritation and bruising from frequent and prolonged sexual intercourse. The common cause of honeymoon cystitis is the introduction of E. coli bacteria (which normally lives in the bowel) into the urethra. This bacteria begins to replicate, which leads to infection. In addition to the possibility of it occurring after frequent, strenuous intercourse, honeymoon cystitis can also start when an unclean finger, penis, or other object is inserted from the anus into the vagina. Women who wipe from back to front, rather than from vagina to anus, are also at higher risk for this infection. Symptoms of honeymoon cystitis generally emerge within a day or two after bacteria are introduced into the urethra. A physician can confirm the diagnosis of infection through a simple urine test. I wouldn't go thinking STD at this point. It would be a little early on for signs and symptoms of any STD that I know of. Of course, you could just have a good old fashioned yeast infection, too. Just see a doctor, hon, and have done with it.

Sounds like he had given thrush. Its not an std but a yeast infection. Once you have it, it will come back...With women its more noticable than with men.go to the chemist and ask for a thrush treatment. If it goes away after that....You know it was thrush.

It's called an STD. Lover boy shared his germs with you. You need to see a doctor about this, pronto. An infection there can lead to all kinds of bad things including sterility if it goes into your cervix or kidney damage/failure or death if it goes into your bladder and travels upwards.
