I have been on birth control for like 5 months now, recently my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex when he came in me, and then again about 12 hours later...is it possible to still become pregnant?

yes it is possible. my cousin was on birth control for 2 years and still got pregnant. they also used a condom but still.....
i know they say in advertisement that it is almost 100% prevention of pregnancy but the key word is ALMOST. no matter how many protective barriers you take or put their is a still a posibility even if its only .01 or .02 %
i advise to all those who wants to have sex so soon in the early age of teens or if you are not ready to get pregnant, to take care of a baby or financially broke please do yourself and the baby you might concieve please think before you act on impulse, desire, lust... whatever else... please THINK first. there is no going back, you cant blame anyone for your problems, you made the choice. and please if you are pregnant don't regret, neglect, or hate the baby.

sorry for the long writing, its a touchy subject..... =(

You can get pregnant no matter what method of birth control you use. The only fool proof method is, guess what? NOT HAVING SEX AT ALL! I'm not saying that in a smarta$$ way, but honestly, that's all that works. I was on birth control for 6 years straight, never missed a pill...and I'm 8 weeks preggers now.

Anything's possible! but since you are on BC the chances are slim, just because you had sex twice in less than 24 hours doesn't mean its less effective :P
When I was on BC my husband and I have had sex 3 or 4 times in a day... always unprotected... and I didn't get pregnant til after I was off BC...
Still if you guys just had sex one time unprotected ...it's possible, nothing is 100%
Good luck ;)

Not to freak you out but I got pregnant 2 while on the pill...Once last year, but miscarried and again in Feb. Im due for my little girl in 15 days! Its rare for that to happen though, although my OB nurse said it happens more than is talked about. If you are taking your BC like you are supposed to (and I did every morning right after brushing my teeth so I wouldnt forget) then there is a SLIM chance you are pregnant. If you are so worried, then he needs to wear a condom in addition to your birth control. GL on everything

Since abstinence is the only 100% effective means of birth control, and you apparently are not so good at abstinence, the answer is yes, definitely there is a possibility, although slim that you can get pregnant.

there are women that become pregnant on birth control. So, yes, its possible. That is why you should use a condom too. Just because you had sex twice though doesn't mean that you are pregnant

No, that's what the birth control is for is to prevent pregnancy. It is rare, but someone can get pregnant on birth control. Just be sure to take it everyday at the same time.

If you are on the pill it is not unprotected sex, although you have more to worry about than being pregnant when you don't use condoms, unless both of you were virgins.

It's always possible to get pregnant when you have sex, but the pill greatly reduces the odds. I believe, if taken correctly, it's 99% effective in preventing pregnancy.

Now, with that said, it does not do anything to protect you from STD's, which you're at a much higher risk for in this situation.

Condoms are the only way to reduce (not eliminate) your risk of contracing STD's. Please use them and get yourself tested.

good luck!

I was on the pill for 3 years and got pregnant with my son. My mom got pregnant with my sister while on the pill and a friend of mine had her son while on the pill. Nothing can protect you 100% against getting pregnant. Use a condom too.
