what should i do next?

I install Windows XP Service Pack 2 and restart the computer, but the computer stops responding and will not start. The computer will not start in Safe Mode either.

Probably an incomplete or improper installation. Try re-installing and follow the instructions properly. Then install the motherboard chipset drivers and other necessary drivers.
