Did any one manage to catch the Tyra Show today? I am beginning to dislike her more and more. There are so many deadbeat fathers out there and for her to judge and ridicule those that are actually standing beside their daughters, shows her lack of intellegence. Did anyone else find how she mocked and belittled those fathers absolutely disgusting?

I really can't stand her.

How about when she flip flops in and out of her contrived ghetto-speak? First of all, truly ghetto blacks would be jealous of her or would attempt to roughen her up, and white people think she's a phony. Who is her audience?

I don't watch talk shows, anymore. They are just soap operas with an interviewing slant emceed by egomaniacs who don't realize that the entire genre is dead, mostly thanks to pseudo-reality/interview shows as "The Jerry Springer Show", or Maury Povich's, or Montel Williams', etc, etc, etc, ad nauseum.

Even the late night shows have become superfluous, thanks to the internet (who needs to watch the stars on the tube, when you can download all the gossip and other fan-mania stuff from the net on a minute-by-minute basis?). Granted, SOMEtimes, SOMEthing happens of interest, but, it's fifteen seconds of inanity, and, most of the time, it is scripted (I hope that didn't shock you!). ;)

Other than Tyra attempting to snare audience share from Oprah (granted, it may not be on at the same time, but, you know what I mean), there is nothing to validate the existence of yet another mindless and, ultimately, pointless, talk show. I also can't stand her "Next Model" (or whatever it's called) pseudo-reality show, which I tried to watch, but couldn't believe some of the hurtful comments coming out of the judges' mouths.

Turn off the TV.
Take a deep breath.
Doesn't that feel better? ;)

P.S. Although I agree with your point of view, even if I haven't seen the show or series, please be a little more careful when spelling words like "intelligence"!

It really depends on the way her father was with her.

Most dads are deadbeats compared to my dad. Even the hard working, loving fathers are deadbeats compared to my dad.

My dad just did so much. She may be the same as me.

There are a lot of deadbeats who give good fathers a bad name, but it's only fair since slutty women give innocent women a bad rep.

So all women are skanks and all men are horrible fathers.

I happen to like Tyra, I think some things are not represented properly but it's HER show. She's a celeb and she's going to say whatever she wants because she's Tyra Banks.

I didnt see the show today. Actually, I haven't seen Tyra's show that much since she moved to NY. I like Tyra, but sometimes she can be very arrogant and judgemental. It seems like she's getting a little beside herself lately.

I didn't watch it but I can't stand watching her anymore... she only thinks and talks about herself... I think she's tryin gto be a mini Oprah and it's just not working... She's just lonely and ghetto... that's how I feel about her... I'll def. try to catch the episode tonight on Oh! Oxygen and I'll post what I thought of the show, if I can stomach the 1st 5 minutes of the show... sorry she pissed you off like that....
