Why couldn't the president of Argentinia run for another term?

He was only President for 4 years I believe. Now his wife will become President.

dont know much about argentina, except their government of the early 80's didnt do them any favours. Hows their economy these days - still shite?

I believe their Constitution restricts the President to a single term. The same conditon exists in Mexico, except there it is a single six-year term.
