I know you like those broad brushes to paint everything as awful as you can, but there is a difference between the ordinary Muslim and those who are fanatics and terrorists.
Just as with any group even conservatives, the farther out on the fringe they are the weirder and wilder they get.
It is a different culture, and they don't think they hate women, they think we subject our women to unthinkable brutality by sending them out daily to take their chances without protection. I know its hard, especially when you think you are so right, but other cultures really do see things differently than we do. Its only been a little over a hundred years since our country engaged in slavery too. Don't be in such a rush to pat yourselves on the back. That's just an eye blink in time.

Women who cover their heads in this country must feel comfortable going outside their homes. Moms who wear cover must be not intimidated in America. That's not the America I know. That's not the America I value.
I've been told that some fear to leave; some don't want to go shopping for their families; some don't want to go about their ordinary daily routines because, by wearing cover, they're afraid they'll be intimidated. That should not and that will not stand in America.
Those who feel like they can intimidate our fellow citizens to take out their anger don't represent the best of America, they represent the worst of humankind, and they should be ashamed of that kind of behavior.
