My sister just opened a new daycare a couple of months ago. She is trying to raise money by selling tickets for Thanksgiving Dinners to help with the purchase of playground equipment. We want the ticket to be turned in when the person picks up the plate of food. How can we word it on the ticket so that they know not to lose that ticket and to turn it in to pick up their meal. Thanks!!

Thank you for all the answers so far. I wanted to add that tickets are being sent home with parents so that parents can help to sell them also, so a couple of the suggestions wouldn't work because it isn't strictkly my sister selling the tickets...but thank you!!!

So, when you sell the ticket, tell them, and you may put please present ticket at the door. But also, you may want to keep a notebook in which you put the ticket number and name of the person, in case they forget. Also mark paid. It might also help if when selling the tickets, your sister offered
a free day or two of childcare as the prize. Like make it a Momma's day off theme. Then I know the people will turn in their tickets for the raffle.

Simply put that the "this ticket must be presented during time of pick-up". That way people know that they need to hold onto it.

How about, "This ticket must be/will be redeemed upon purchase of meal?" or, "This ticket will be redeemed upon meal pick up"?
