I think they the uchiha clan was not really killed by itachi. I think the guy with concentric eye balls dose that. Itachi tells saske about the same and they live happly ever after.

yeah i think that to cuz if there was as much bad blood between sasuke and itachi as they make it seem sasuke would be dead already

Honestly, I think Itachi did it.
On a whole, the two remaining Uchiha clan members are both pretty lost on the trail of sanity, and it fits into the rest of the series. And don't forget, Itachi approached the leaf village and told his brother he wasn't strong enough yet. They same thing Itachi said when he confronted Sauske after the slaughter.
EVEN IF you theory was true, Sauske would try to kill his brother anyway. He's too single tracked to let by-gones by by-gones. He'll find another reason to kill his brother.

Unless kishimoto is really trying to fool us (for over 250 episodes in the anime) I doubt this is true. Itachi showed Sasuke using his Mangekyou Sharingan what happened. Although he could have fooled Sasuke, he did kill one of his clan members to obtain the mangekyou sharingan. He may have tested it on his fellow clan members. I can see that your story could be a logical theory, but I'm pretty sure that Itachi is the one who killed his clan...

Itachi kills his to test what he is capable of and is disgusted that clan does test theirs because their so focus on the clan.
