Sure it's possible, in fact probable. Being beyond 60, I feel qualified to answer this from my perspective.

I admire the physical appearance of young women but to actually have anything to do with them, no way. Almost all women under the age of 30 are airhead to the max, most never attain even a glancing blow with wisdom before the age of 40, some never.

Appreciating beauty is more than sexual. Believe it or not, all old men aren't "dirty old men". We older men can appreciate beauty without a sexual connotation just as well as younger men or women of any age. This question seems to border on both ageism and sexism.

I may be old but I ain't dead. I can still appreciate beauty in nature whether it be a sunset, autumn leaves, a snowy landscape or a beautiful woman.

While my tasted have definitely changed somewhat, they definitely haven't ended. I can appreciate the sexual aspect of the opposite sex regardless her age but it doesn't mean that's the only way I can view them or the only reason to look. In fact, the woman's face is the most important aspect (not counting personality) to me.

Even women who are not particularly attractive but have an air about them of caring and non-discrimination are even more desirable than the most physically beautiful. Those are more like daughters to me and the ones I'd rather speak to than those with nothing more going for them than overtly sexual dress and manners.

Well, are the aged (sorry) banned from feeling any kind of desire simply because we (the not-so aged) find the thought distasteful? This is a question that's relevant to all of us, I think, because guess what, we are ALL going there... (except the ones who don't make it, of course).

To answer your question I'll put myself in the place of an.. let's say fifty or sixty year old geezer, and I'll probably be thinking the same stuff I do these days when I see someone gorgeous, so let's try this.....

Breeding stock, yung'un? Nope, never had much liking fer them farm critters....
Daughter? Missy, I already gots daughters, and they don't look much like this one... But I'll tell yall this fer sure... I knew a looker when I saw one thirty years ago, and I'll be damned if anything's gone different now! And just cuz I still gots my vision an all, don't mean I'm interested in some twenty something filly that's probly still wearing nappies, no matter what she looks like, ya hear? Yee-ha!!

That would be pretty scary if it were true. I don't think I'd want a male high school teacher too close to a beautiful daughter if that were true, but it's not.

As hard as it may be to fathom for some, not all men are attracted to young women. It's a big world. Some men prefer older women, blonds or heavy women. Some men are instantly attracted to young women, while others view them in a paternalistic way. We need to stop being so simplistic and imagining that human beings are like animals who rely only on an instant genetic mandate. We're much more complex than that.

Is it possible for an old man to look at a beautiful young woman & think " She's like a daughter"?

Of course. This is done through mental and emotional discipline.

Yes it is possible. Depends on the man, of course. Also depends if he has any kids. If not, then it is possible he may think of the breeding angle. Some women also go for older men too. Sorry to hear about that ancient guy going after you.

Anything is possible. How is she dressed? Yes, it does matter otherwise you would not have to choose what to wear. Does she looked like my daugther or like the beautiful high school cheer leader I had a great time with when I was young? Men are men and women are women, none better than the other even if some may think so.

Possible.
A happily married man (one, who does not date - I added this because of the married men on dating sites) is more likely to think of a girl as a daughter.
A happily single man, on the prowl, is looking for a hot date and if over 50, he doesn't really want to breed anything, but a good time.
Of course, I could be very wrong. I've never been in a man's head. Twenty years is too big a generational gap for me.

EDIT:The old church guy is in there praying for a miracle. This is a case where I'd be wrong. Don't worry. I'm sure he can't catch you. That is disturbing. But, a little funny, too.
C. :)!!

I don't think so, unless he's had a relationship with her that has been close enough to consider her family, but not just by admiring her physical appeal, it wouldn't make sense to consider someone a daughter solely based on appearance.

About the 90-year old man who wrote you a love letter, I think it's sweet, maybe not so sexy, hehe, but it was a kind gesture nonetheless.
Age makes no difference, men or women can still have crushes, as human emotions and thoughts have no age.

Good luck with not breaking the poor man's heart! Hehe. ;-)

This has nothing to do with age. It's possible for a young man to look at a woman his own age and think, "She's like a sister." But it's rare for young men, and I suspect it's rare for old men too.

I don't think so. Of course there is difference between "beautiful young woman" and a CHILD. I'm 31 and yes men in their 70s and 80s look at me that way. If they were looking at a 14 year old CHILD that way, I'd think they were sick!! But I'm not a child, I'm a woman. So I don't see a problem.
