The Gutenberg project has over 22,000 books online availible in many formats with quite a few audio books.
Most of these books are from pre-1950, but there are some exceptions.

If you like Sci-fi and Fantasy you can go to Baen's Books online. Sign up, when approved you can not only read ebooks online but you can download them free.

I'm not sure about entire books online (there may be copyright issues and such) but one of my fav sites is fictionpress.com. There are tons of diff genres there and thousands upon thousands of stories. And there are plenty there that are full-length novels. I love it!!
