Everybody said Boise State didn't deserve a BCS bowl last year. I say they give Hawaii a BCS bowl just so Hawaii has a chance to play somebody. They can't help it that they're conference blows. If they get into a BCS bowl their nonconference schedules will improve in the future.

Florida is a better team for sure, but that is a toug call.
If Hawaii were in the SEC and had UF's schedule they would lose 5 games. That being said, UF still didn't take care of business and also lost a game at home. In the SEC home field advantage is huge, and that factor alone really makes one question their status as a BCS team.
At 2 losses, it is a no-brainer. At 3, you have to give the nod to Hawaii, despite their pathetic schedule.
Three losses is just too many, even in the killer SEC.
I would also give them the nod over any 2 loss PAC 10 team and any 1 loss Big 10 team. If Hawaii had Ohio State's schedule they would undefeated also. The Big 10 is an absolute joke this year. Sometimes the criticism of the Big 10 is unfair -- not this year.

I think Florida doesn't deserve a BCS bowl. I think Hawaii deserves it because of Boise State's upset against against Oklahoma last year. I know you said a 3 loss SEC, but I think that if Alabama (2 loss) goes undefeated from now on, they may have a chance at a BCS bowl.

Any undefeated team deserves a shot at something. And until they install some kind of playoff, nobody will ever be happy--not the undefeated "Mid-Major", nor the 2 or 3 loss Big Conference School.
I personally hate seeing a team with that many losses feeling "entitled" to a big game (and big payout) just because of their name (Notre Dame in the last few years, anyone?)
Of course, a mid-major being embarrassed by a large school is no good either. But Boise State made up for all that last year, so I'll take my chances.
And, by the way, I am not from Hawaii--I am a fan of a large conference school that looks to end the season with about 3 losses this year!!

I would say you would have to look at individual losses and other teams in confrence. I think it is clear that Florida is not the best team in the SEC and thus Hawaii would deserve it more, but a 2 loss LSU that wins the SEC, deserves it more. In the Big 10 or Pac 10, I think a one loss team is more deserving but not a two loss team. USC is not more deserving than Hawaii for example, IMO.

A couple of weeks ago I started paying attentoion to Hawaii because they were blowing people out that is when I found out that it was because they are literally playing nobody. They have the weakest schedule. Since starting to follow them and watch their games when I can, I cannot believe they are even ranked to be honest. Florida has a pretty tough schedule so I would give them a bowl first (and I am not a gators fan)
Funny how partisan some of you are. Let your team allegiance of hatred of another go and try to be objective. Hawaii has played no one is not ranked on any computer and gets their BCS rating scrictly from appearing in the polls

I think a 12-0 Hawaii team should beat a 3 loss team from ANY conference. The BCS takes into account strength of schedule...but the Hawaii players need to travel soooooo far to any away game that it makes every one of them difficult.
If they go undefeated they should play for the National Championship.

Hawaii. I mean a 2 loss team is one thing, but 3 is too many when we are just going with a BCS game. Now the National title would be far harder, but I think I'd pick 2 teams that have 3 losses first.

I'd have to pick Florida, just because Hawaii's schedule is absolutely laughable.
The Gators might have lost three times, but I'd take losses to outstanding teams over victories against the likes of Charleston Southern, Utah State and San Jose State (in OT). Florida at least beat good teams in Kentucky and Tennessee.
