Work out what level youre voice is at , e.g barotone and then choose a song that thus reflects your voice the best,and will accentuate your performance.
I dont think there is a right or wrong answer to this question- its more a question of personal preference and what works for you.

What's your voice type and what show are you auditioning for?

In order to give you song suggestions we need to know your voice type so you're not suggested something that doesn't sit well in your range and we need to know the show so that we don't give you songs from Rent or Hair and you're auditioning for The Sound of Music.

whatever you do don't sing a song from the musical you're auditioning for. don't forget to breathe from your diaphram. try to act in the song that you're performing. like if you're going to sing something sad look sad, if you're going to sing something happy then look happy, etc....
