My nephew has a mild case of asthma. I have also developed an often itchy nose, which is an allergy. I would like to know what natural products I can use on the both of us to reduce symptoms? Serious, constructive, polite responses only please. No point gaming or advertising at all.

Unfortunately, that's something that's going to vary with each person, depending on their responses for each of many different herbs. There are a lot of people that get benefits from certain natural products for respiratory health. For example, there's N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC), Bromelain, Nettle Root, Elderberry, Licorice, Slippery Elm Bark, Ginger, Black Cohosh, Quercetin, and many other herbs.

As far as an itchy nose, that's a really tough one because there are so many different things that can cause the itching. You can try any combination of those items I mentioned, and any one (or combination) of them may be the perfect thing for your nephew. Good luck!

The best natural alternative that i use is OPC-3. A super antioxidant. Its contains ingredients like pine bark, bilberry, red wine, grape seed extracts. When you combine all these into one bottle and put them into Isotonic form they become very powerful. There's a site that has put them together. You can check it out if you want to do some research.

If you suspect the allergy is pollen-based, local honey works wonders. It builds up one's immune system to the local pollens and in turn works similarly to allergy shots by building tolerance.

My daughter was also asthmatic prone...until we removed the carpeting.

(Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents...sometimes removing the problem removes the need for meds!)
