I have 2 fantail goldfish, 2 black moores, 1 molley and 1 I'm not sure. They are all little fish about 1 inch long. Will they still grow to normal size? I plan on getting a big aquarium for Christmas. Will they be ok until then?

Definetly way too small of a tank. The species of goldfish you have require at least 20-30 gallons per fish. They grow large, so as a result they need large tanks.

Well, goldfish can get really big. They can get to be about 4-6 inches long. I just read something that said black moors can get to 8-10 inches. Mollies only get about 1-2 inches. And it's supposed to be about 1-gallon for every inch of fish. And I've heard that goldfish attack other fish. I've only had that problem once so I don't know if it's true. As long as they don't grow a lot until Christmas it should be ok, just make sure that the goldfish don't eat the smaller ones. Cause I've had that problem before. One of the goldfish we had one time kept trying to eat our little fish (like mollies and guppies), but my dad managed to put them out if its mouth, but we did have to put it in its own tank.

I don't know how fast goldfish grow but if they grow quick you need to get a bigger tank now. You should probably get about a 40 at least (or bigger) gallon tank if you are going to keep the fish together. Cause if they all get really big that's going to be about 39 inches of fish.

The molley shouldn't be in the same tank with the rest of those. The fantails, and moores should be okay together, although fantails tend to be faster swimmers than the moores, so you may consider separating them later on.
Unless you're considering breeding, the general rule of thumb is one gallon per inch of fish, and 4 should be okay in your 10 gallon tank as long as you have a filter, and an airpump. They'll be fine until you get that beautiful, big tank that your currently daydreaming about, for Christmas. Have fun, goldfish can be very rewarding.
Oh, and by the way, the molley should be in separate tank with other similar fish. I don't know what the unidentified fish is, so I can't tell you where to put it.

It should be fine for a while, but goldfish grow very big, but also slowly. So, for christmas, I would try to get a 20, or even better, a 30 gallon tank, so the goldfish will have room to grow. When people say 1 inch of fish per 1 gallon is not true. You can not house a 1 inch goldfish in a 1 gallon tank/bowl....just not possible

Also, Aren't mollies schooling fish, so, if you can, once you get a bigger tank, get 2 more mollies, or just get rid of the mollie you have now.

So, they should be fine...for now, but as soon as possible, get a 20-30 gallon tank

Goldfish are not fish that follow the "only grow as big as its tank" rule. In fact, that kind of reasoning leads to stunted growth and disease prone fish. Goldfish are extremely dirty and are coldwater fish. Mollies are shoaling fish (need a group to be happy) and need brackish tropical water (warm, salty water). These two are completely incompatible. That and your tank is terribly small for even one goldfish. You'd have to change the water every two days or so in order for the toxins not to build up and kill all the fish.

I suggest you return the goldfish and just stick to smaller fish.

It's a bit much. I have a 30 gal aquarium with only one fantail goldfish who is about 16 years old.

So, lots of water, fewer fish = longer life.

The goldfish might not make it until Christmas, but the others should.Their bodies will stop growing, but their organs don't.It's called stunting, and it will kill them. Also, goldfish are cold water fish,as the others are tropical. They require different water temps. Also, goldfish grow to be very large, most people say one goldfish for every 10 gallons of water. But who knows, they might make it.Fish can be very resilient.

Yes too much. The fantails are going to be very big. Get a bigger tank this X- Mas, about 75 gal.

The 2 goldfish should be taken out because they will get too big for that tank and it could possibly lead them to have stunted growth.
