You poor thing! She's fine to sleep on her tummy. Both of my son's started sleeping on their tummy's when they could turn over. The risk of SIDS is mainly between 2-4 months. Trust me your daughter is fine on her tummy - get some sleep you must be exhausted!!!

If she can consistently roll from back to front and front to back it is fine to let her pick her sleeping position.

* Parents should always place babies on their backs to sleep, but if they roll to their tummies they do not need to keep flipping them back…

* The MOST IMPORTANT point to remember is when they roll, they do so in a safe sleep environment - free from soft bedding, pillows, stuffed toys and other objects

Once the baby roll over both ways is usually safe. Make sure that there are no blankets, stuffed animals, pillows, toys and no crib bumper in her bed.

Get her fleece PJ's so you won't need a blanket.

My 11 month old has being doing it since he was about 7 months old.

Take care and good luck.

As soon as a baby can roll over both ways and lift their head and chest off the ground then it's fine. I'd still put the baby down on their back, but if they flip over it's fine.

My baby does this too. She did it from 5 months and i worried all night every night for around 2 weeks.

Use a sleeping bag not a blanket if you are worried, but as long as your baby can lift its head up, it's fine.

Think how annoying it must be sleeping on your back for months and months!!!

When your baby can hold his or her head up steadily and roll from tummy to back and vice versa it is usually okay. My daughter decided when she was ready. I put her to sleep on her back and when i awoke that morning she was on her tummy.

She will be fine. She can roll all the way over on her own now.

She should be able to roll back over at this age.

if she rolls over on her own, then she's old enough. We've got an ALMOST 9 month old, and he rolls over to his tummy whenever he takes naps && @ night. dr says its fine if they can do it on their own.

as long as she can roll back its fine, as soon as my baby could roll over she loved sleeping on her front. don't worry if she couldn't breath or was uncomfortable she will move.
