My period was nearly 2 weeks late and I got 2 negatives on at-home test and a negative on the doctor's test. I started my period the same day I went to the doctor's - looked like it was just stress!

Sometimes your late, just because. Relax and try not to think about it too much. I've done this too myself soo many times. I've been as much as 6 days late, and sure I was pregnant, but then miraculously not. Did you skip a pill? Has anything else really emotional happen this month? It could be one of thousand things. Our bodies sometimes don't work like clockwork. So don't worry yet. Those home pregnancy test are surprisingly accurate, especially the more you are late. If you don't have your Period after 7 days I would make an apt. with a dr. or clinic (planned parenthood does it) and get your blood tested. Chances are its nothing. Stop stressing or you make it worse.

I did not get a positive test until way after my missed period...hope that helps! Turns out that I ovulate towards the end of my cycle so even though I was not getting my period I was BARELY pregnant yet. Do you have irregular periods? I do, which is why I did not ovulate right in the middle of my cycle...I dont really have a cycle that is regular. My suggestion would be to just wait a week or so and then test again or go to your doctor and get a blood test! Good luck!

Calm down, We a women have changes in our body all the time. We (our bodies) find way to hide stress. Be it stress from our jobs, relationships, friendships. all type of stressors. We sometime stress and dont know we are stressing. The seasons change and so do we about the same time. So it really could be a number of reasons. If the test is saying no then you can just about count on it being right. I've had several changes in my cycle. Your cycle can really and will change it's course. Relax your going to be fine. Well, Have you had unprotected sex? Its a little hard to answer the question if you dont mention things like that.. Im assuming that you have. And if so, then yes, you could be pregnant. But stress can delay your period. Also, these symptoms and the need to cry all go along with PMS. I hope this helps and you get the answer your looking for..

If you really think you are pregnant, I would think that it is still too early for the pregnancy hormone to be detected by the tests you are using or your period could just be taking it's time.
Do you have a super regular cycle that shows up same date every month "rain or shine"? If you do then you should defiantly be concerned, but if you don't I wouldn't worry about it until about 10 days has gone by and your period still hasn't shown up.
Don't stress hon! All will be revealed in time.
Good luck!

relax. periods come late all the time for women. mainly teens and younger women. there are a number of things that can be causing your period to come late so don't freak out. ok?!? if it doesn't come in the next week then take the test again. It is most likely your period is just late. Many people have theirs come irregularly. Just relax ok? You're probably very stressed out.
if you feel you must know right away you can also ask your doctor for a blood test.

Hi. I hope I can help, I've done some research on this before. Home pregnancy tests become positive when a certain level of hcg (human chorionic growth hormone) is reached in your urine. The level can be affected by how recently you've urinated (which is why it's more accurate if you haven't voided your bladder for a while - e.g. overnight), and when a test reads positive can also depend ON THE TEST ITSELF. Below is a link that will show you what levels of hcg these tests are sensitive to, so you can better select the brand that you're using.
I've also cut & paste information below from a website (second one listed in sources) regarding hcg levels - unfortunately there's a huge amount of variability as to how high your levels will be in very early pregnancy, so it can be frustrating determining if you're pregnant, not to mention that when you ovulate, fertilization, and implantation can all happen within a certain window, but are subject to some fluctuation.
Good luck to you!
The hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (better known as hCG) is produced during pregnancy. It is made by cells that form the placenta, which nourishes the egg after it has been fertilized and becomes attached to the uterine wall. Levels can first be detected by a blood test about 11 days after conception and about 12 - 14 days after conception by a urine test. In general the hCG levels will double every 72 hours. The level will reach its peak in the first 8 - 11 weeks of pregnancy and then will decline and level off for the remainder of the pregnancy.
Key things to remember about hCG levels:
In a bout 85% of normal pregnancies, the hCG level will double every 48 - 72 hours. As you get further along in pregnancy and the hCG level gets higher, the time it takes to double can increase to about every 96 hours.
Caution must be used in making too much of hCG numbers. A normal pregnancy may have low hCG levels and result in a perfectly healthy baby. The results from an ultrasound after 5 - 6 weeks gestation are much more accurate than using hCG numbers.
An hCG level of less than 5mIU/ml is considered negative for pregnancy, and anything above 25mIU/ml is considered positive for pregnancy.
The hCG hormone is measured in milli-international units per milliliter (mIU/ml).
A transvaginal ultrasound should be able to show at least a gestational sac once the hCG levels have reached between 1,000 - 2,000mIU/ml. Because levels can differentiate so much and conception dating can be wrong, a diagnosis should not be made by ultrasound findings until the hCG level has reached at least 2,000.
A single hCG reading is not enough information for most diagnoses. When there is a question regarding the health of the pregnancy, multiple testings of hCG done a couple of days apart give a more accurate assessment of the situation.
The hCG levels should not be used to date a pregnancy since these numbers can vary so widely.
There are two common types of hCG tests. A qualitative hCG test detects if hCG is present in the blood. A quantitative hCG test (or beta hCG) measures the amount of hCG actually present in the blood.
Guideline to hCG levels during pregnancy:
hCG levels in weeks from LMP (gestational age)* :
3 weeks LMP: 5 - 50 mIU/ml
4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml
5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml
6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml
7 - 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml
9 - 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml
13 - 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml
17 - 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml
25 - 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 - 117,000 mIU/ml
Non-pregnant females: <5.0 mIU/ml
Postmenopausal females: <9.5 mIU/ml

hi
it is very possible you are pregnant and your body has yet to make enough hcg hormone, which is picked up in the pee test's you've done, so relax and do another test in the morning with first morning urine as it is likely to contain more of this hormone.
another possibility is that you ovulated later in your cycle than usual and so you have not yet reached the end of your luteal phase, which is the second half of your cycle and is around 14 days long ...
early pregnancy symptoms and those experienced just before your period are very similar.
HTH
lots of luck and i hope you get what you want!
