The new generation of American kids isn't being taught grammar as a course. The school system expects the kids to pick it up themselves just by reading textbooks and listening in class. Can you tell it was a bad idea to take grammar lessons out of the classroom?

I think my grammar is good by today's standards, but just fair by traditional standards. It seems every generation creates their own slang. This is fine and gives a sense of community to those of the same age; however, in more formal settings (like work), I think it is important that people know how to effectively communicate with others outside their generation; good grammar makes this possible.

Demonstrating against all grammar rules? That's an odd phrase.

I hate bad grammar :-)
I like to think that my messages are punctuated and spelt correctly as well as being written with good grammar, but I know that that's probably not always the case!

I do not like improper grammar, but I can deal with it as long as I can understand the point someone is trying to make. But, when I have trouble understanding it, I usually leave a sarcastic remark.

You know you are so correct, we do tend to forget our grammar on here, English was my favorite subject in school. I think it is because we are all in a hurry to say what we want to say, and get on to the next question. I myself, am trying to get to level 5 so I can answer as many questions in one day as I would like without any limits. I was not aware that we had teachers watching. I will do my best to correct my grammar. Please correct me when I am wrong, I have not set foot in a classroom in years!

Who are you asking your question of and perhaps you should check your own grammar. What in the world does "demonstrating against" mean anyway?
Ask a stupid question and you get stupid answers.

There is nothing wrong with my grammar. I'm a journalist...I get paid to have good grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and AP style usage!

I'm not exactly sure what your question is exactly, but I'll answer what I think you're asking! :) I agree that it is terribly irritating when people answer or ask questions and have grossly inaccurate spelling and/or grammar. It's not that hard! Do you guys pay attention to the little colored squiggly lines that show under words that are misspelled? :) Cheers!
