Ok so I moved into my aprents house and want to hook up my computer to the internet. My step brother told me all I need was a USB reciver because there is a wireless router in the house. But I have a USB adapter for my Nintendo DS.Willl that work the same?I used the adapter to get online to play my games so it should work right? If not are you aware of a decent, cheap reciver. The cheapest I found was for $50.Any help would be great!

A word of advice from my own personal experience. is to invest in a Wireless PCI card for a your desktop or laptop. It will cost a bit more but I have found that the USB wireless chips are not as stable as a PCI card that is installed into your computer. The worst I have tried is a D-Link USB adapter, a Nintendo branded one however might function much better.

Don't know where you been looking but it wouldn't be where I would shop. :)

You may be able to use the one for the Nintendo all depends on what drivers they supplied with the adapter some simply won't work due to the drivers you don't have.
