Yes. It is called Freedom of Speech.

Is it their own bulletin board? It's probably legal, if they own it.

If it bothers you, you may or may not have a case. I am not a lawyer, understand, so this is only my opinion. Are you required to read the bulletin board? Or act on the religious material? Are you forced to attend religious activities at work? You can always asked to be excluded if it makes you uncomfortable. If they insist, they may be making this a hostile workplace for you. But it could come down to how bad do you want this job. If you have more questions than what can be answered here, I suggest you see a lawyer.

privately held...says lots.

it's Freedom OF Religion, not from religion.

some yahoo in ill is saying that a moment of silence is an attemp to inject religion in our schools here. what an a**!

a business has the right to refuse service to anyone at any time. that seems more distrustful than some stuff on a bulliten board that no one HAS to read.

Annoying, yes. Illegal, no.
If you don't like it, don't work there, or complain to the boss and try to get it stopped.
In college I worked at a pizza place where the manager was a jesusfreak who would write some bible thing on the board. I complained and he toned it down. And I quit.

It would be totally legal. If you were made to read notices and you found notices offensive and they would not grant you exception about reading, then you might have case of workplace harassment, but any manager that allowed that to happen wouldn't have skills to keep business afloat for long.

As long as nobody is forced to read them, or affiliate with a church as part of employment, there is nothing wrong with it. Why do people feel they have the right to go around and try to force Christians to totally hide their beliefs and convictions?

This is protected speech and religious expression. See the First Amendment to the US Constitution.

I guess what disturbs me is the fact you asked the question means you thought that this might have been illegal, and I can't imagine what would have led you to believe that.
