Ok beware this maybe a little too much information for some:

So I had sex for the first time recently and intially, my boyfriend did not wear a condom however he put one on. I know you can become pregnant from pre-*** and this is why I'm like totally freaking out ad I don't know if this is all in my head or what. So I had sex the 16th and 17th and came on my period the 18th, which was a little lighter than usual. Now I know that if I were to conceive then normally, I would be late or wouldnt come on at all, but because I had sex so close to my scheduled period, would I have to wait for the next period? Does that sound too confusing?

Also, I bled after sex the next times we did it(with a condom of course) and yesterday and today I had a brown discharge. So I went to the clinic today and wasnt able to see the nurse but the receptionist was saying i shouldnt have anything to worry about since i came on but google is telling me otherwise so....what do you guys think/should i do?

Whoa. Get some b.c. pills young lady. Or better yet, stop with the sex, you and your guy sound a little too young.

You usually can not get pregnant from having sex 2 days before your period is due. There is a very small window of a couple of days in a whole month that a women is fertile. I wouldn't worry too much. Wait until next month, you'll see. And if you just can't handle the 'wondering', get a home pregnancy test.

I am also sorry for all these lame answers about growing up and learning a lesson. I'm sure you have learned to use protection, as you stated that in your question! It's just the risk you take asking questions like this on Yahoo...

If you are bleeding after sex, I think your boyfriend needs a lesson on female anatomy. It doesn't sound like he is taking time to prepare your body and perhaps he is forcing himself in before your ready and physically hurting your body. Anything that produces blood can't possibly feel good for you.

Seriously, I hope you take a break from sex for a while. It sounds like it's just too much stress for you all the way around, and you can't get help from your parents, whom you really need to get through health issues properly.

Onto the pregnancy thing -- If you have sex after your ovulatory time and the egg is long gone, you can't get pregnant. You can only get pregnant while a viable egg is pregnant. A day or two before your period generally means that there is no egg. However, you said it was light. Was the 18th supposed to be when you started? If it was, then there probably was no egg. Then you start all over again -- all the sperm would die before another egg came out of your ovaries.

Learning your ovulatory pattern would be a really, really good idea. For one thing, it will help you detect any possible health problems, like cervical cancer, yeast infections, PCOS, etc. But for another, it will help you know when pregnancy is a good possibility and when it isn't.

Yes, it is possible. Because you were so close to your normal period, it would not have stopped. But, what is more likely is that you have developed an irritation which is causing your discharge. See your Doctor as soon as you can, get on the pill. And don't forget, there are many people walking around as a consequence of Pre-ejaculation drip.
Don't listen to these folk who tell you that you can't be pregnant because you had a period, it isn't always so. I had a period for the first three months I was pregnant with my first child.

It is possible that you ovulated later in your cycle then expected and that is why your period was abnormal, but it might be abnormal since you had sex for the first time. I remember my period being abnormal after my first time.

Don't listen to that receptionist. I would wait at least 2 weeks after the last time you had sex to check and see if you are pregnant. Make sure you follow up with your doctor or clinical nurse and ask about birth control methods, other than condoms. Please continue to use condoms anyway.

Ok, personally, I don't think you're pregnant. So, just breathe.

However, it is possible. Even if you don't think you were ovulating at the time, you might still be. People can get pregnant at any time during their cycle.

You can still get a "period" if you're pregnant, so that's not really a good judge to go by.

But, you're probably not.

If I were you though, I would go get tested for STDs. The brown discharge is a bit worrisome. Plus, you should just do that anyways if you had unprotected sex.

Good luck!

Best thing you can do is wait for your next period. Since it was your first time you'll have some bleeding after sex. Pray that your not pregnant and wear condoms. The only thing you can do is wait for your next period and if it's week late then take a test

Wait and get tested at the clinic so you'll know for sure. Not having a period doesn't mean anything; I've heard of women having their period for the whole pregnancy, so don't let that make you believe you aren't pregnant. Just go get tested and see for sure.

ps- How can your boyfriend not wear a condom but still have one on? Did he wear one or not?

its very unlikely that your pregnant as sperm can only survive for about 4-5 days n if u had sex 1 day before your period its very unlikley that u will have another egg ready to be fertilized at such a short space of time, the egg will be ready about 14 days after your period so unless u have had sex again without a condom then i dont think u will be pregnant
