John travolta walks in and displays a crucifix pose. Very Haunting. Apparently Mozart heard this piece whilst performing in a choir - a sacred piece only allowed to be performed once every year. He remembered it note for note and re-composed it.

The Doctor has got it right. The 'Miserere' is the best-known work by the early Baroque composer Gregorio Allegri (1582-1752). The full title is 'Miserere mei, Deus' and is a setting of Psalm 50 from the Vulgate. The Mozart story is true. He had a photographic memory and wrote the Miserere down after hearing it only once in 1770. He did this with a lot of other works by his contemporaries, which is why some works were mistakenly attributed to him, being in his hand.

Sorry, the only Mozart piece in the movie is "Ach, ich fühl's" from The Magic Flute.

The first poster is correct; it's "Miserere" by Gregorio Allegri.
