How long is he staying on the Boston Red Sox? Does he have a contract? He's a rookie, right? How does his MLB career work? Thanks... !!! I hope he stays on the red sox =)

Once they sign him to a major league contract, (he's a rookie) the red Sox I think will keep him for 6 years or something like that.

He's a great player. The Red Sox will do everything to keep him!

Yep....Technically, he'll still be a rookie in '08 as he had less than 130 at bats in '07....Hopefully, the Sox bat him leadoff with Pedroia hitting 2nd to set the table vfor Big Papi & Manny

Someone I know saw him playing in AA early this season. He came up though AAA and to the Sox. Heck of a year for someone that started the season in AA. I don't know but I hope he stays for a long time.

I think he becomes a rookie next year because he didn't play enough this year. But did you see him last night, 4 hits!

He's a rookie next year.

I'm sure he will sign the MLB minimum during the offseason.

He was called up from the minors...I have a feeling he'll be a regular next season...No doubt his contract will be renegotiated in his favor...for a long term deal...
