Politics wasn't so volcanic until the homo marriage issue came to the forefront. Obviously libs want them to be able to get married whereas normal people know it's not right..

That's a good point. I have never thought of it like. Libs didn't have such vitriol until this became an issue. They do love their aids infested homos....

Look there are more Cons. that are Homosexual than libs. Look at the House and Senate. I'm a true Lib and I have nothing against gay marriages, that is their life and you should live your life the way you choose. I think Homosexual is not a choice it is born in person and you have to go with your feelings. When I first started hearing about it, I was a little confused until I started investigating and they have a right just like you and I to live their life's the way they choose because it is born in them. Some people even Doctors, are Homo and they choose not to say but it is still their business none of ours. You think your normal if you think they are so dirty then your not normal you are hypocritical Republican. What happened to old Foley, Larry Craig, Barney Franks they are bunch of them in both parties. Barney Franks is the only one that was honest and told his preference right at the start. All this rest hide it, but will all come out slowly everyone of them , Just watch. It is really none of mine or your business what they choose.

I don't know why you think your definition of normal is everyones. What, after all does it cost you?
If two men got married does that mean anything at all to you?
Will it impact your life in anyway?
On the other hand if two people marry and form a solid unit, then society benefits.
Stability, happier people, all work better than unhappy, ungrounded people. I can see allowing each religion to set its own rules about marriage, just as they do now. But the state has more of an interest in stability than of making a particular religious view 'normal'. I think the hate is all on your side.
Wonder why?

If Repubs really wanted to "save" the institution of marriage, they would outlaw divorce, and adultery would be a crime punishable by jail time.
If 2 adults want to spend their lives together, the government should have no right to stop them.

And why do you think the "libs" are hateful when it was the retardicans who attempted to legalize discrimination against homosexuals?! Well, they haven't shown much respect for the Constitution these past few years, so I guess we shouldn't be surprised.

funny ...I was going to say that conservatives make a bigger issue of it than anyone else.

I personally think the government shouldn't even have this issue on the table... Why do I care if Tom and Harry want to play house ?...

I think alot of people Lib or Con are mixed on this.... But it's certainly not something that is going to get me out in the streets waiving a sign and yelling... There's alot more important stuff to care about, but I assume you would rather me be distracted with gay marriage...

the whole gay marriage thing was a distraction from other important key issues at the time. Like it is a surprise that conservative religious parties think gay marriage is wrong. By all accounts i will not tell u to believe it is wrong believe what ever u want. i think being ignorant is wrong. I think gay marriage if it were legal wouldn't change a damn thing in your life. I think as long as their is divorce amongst religious ppl that claim gay marriage would ruin the sanctity of it is the dumbest thing i have ever heard come out of their hypocritical mouths.
but u believe what ever u want

Seems pretty obvious that as far as the gay marriage issue the only group doing any hating at all is the conservative Re pubs. And there have been much more volatile issues throughout the course of US history than gay marriage.

Instead of attacking liberals, why couldn't you pose this question as a debate about "homo marriage"? Your effort to incite right-wing radicals to your way of thinking is so transparent to intelligent people! As for this liberal, I do not encourage a marriage between the same sexes, nor do I discourage it, because it doesn't affect me, one way or the other.

Republicans were at one time civil and decent folks
THEN Richard Millhouse Nixon was elected President.
THEN Richard Millhouse Nixon authorized a burglary
THEN Richard Millhouse Nixon tried to cover it up
THEN Richard Millhouse Nixon was caught red handed in the middle of a felony
THEN Richard Millhouse Nixon lied and tried to squirm out of it
THEN Richard Millhouse Nixon finally did the right thing and resigned the Presidency
THEN Richard Millhouse Nixon's supporters started a vendetta to go after any democrat that ever runs
THEN Richard Millhouse Nixon's supporters decided that "getting even" was much more important than admitting they were wrong, JUST LIKE THEY WERE WRONG ABOUT VIETNAM
THEN Richard Millhouse Nixon's SUPPORTERS SUDDENLY BECAME THE PARTY OF HATRED AND
BEGAN WHAT WE KNOW TODAY AS
POLITICS OF PERSONAL DESTRUCTION

I don't think liberals are hateful at all. But there you go trying to lump us all together. It doesn't work.
I'm on the fence about the gay marriage issue. But it's legal where I live and it seems ok. I haven't really been affected by it. There are bigger problems.

Your question seems intent on stirring angry answers, which you wont get from me.
I believe that by "liberals" pushing for equal human rights for all citizens makes us caring, humane, and understanding.
Are you saying that women and black should not have equal rights too? It's the same thing, people are people no matter religious afflictions, personal choices, color of skin, or even content of character (thats you) and we all need to be treated equally.
