That can happen, does happen to many people. It doesn't always happen. When both people in the marriage treat each other well, find ways to spend time with each other, don't panic when problems occur, take responsiblity for their own behavior and their own feelings, and flirt shamelessly....then marriage can remain delightfully spicy and fun....despite all the traumas life can produce.

that all depend how much you really love the person that you married too. to make a marriage works you and your spouse must work at it 24/7 almost like if you were dating. Yes, it will see to run down about that time frame or some cases soon and you have though go to 10 yrs. then things get bore and even in the bed room. look deep in side of you and see if you can find out where it did go wrong and fix it. Its part of your responsibilities to make your marriage a happy one. good luck...

No, it's not true in all cases. It's important to get married for the right reasons; that both have well-developed personalities; they know themselves well (their own strengths and weaknesses); have shared beliefs, goals and interests; understand that sustaining a long term relationship isn't always going to be easy and are willing to make the marriage work through the good and bad times.
Too often people belief love is an emotion or feeling and they react according to its fluctuations. In reality, it's a conscious choice.

It may be the case in some marriages, but for the majority(including my own), it gets better as you really get to know your partner and develop a deep understanding of each other. Well that's my view, i guess if it gets boring them you either need to work on things or call it a day.

I've been with my husband for 3yrs. Married for 1 1/2yrs. And I'm sure not board with him at all. We still have a wonderful sex life. I think it just depends on you two as a couple. If you allow it to get boring than it will. Spice things up in your marriage. Try and change things up a bit so things aren't always so routine.

Miss Jessa, Well to be honest for some it does, however it does not have too !Thing is it happens when you both keep doing the same things day after day. But if both people are honest, true and puts a little variety in the things they do God willing everyday can be new ! Make Jesus the head of the household !

my grandparents were married from the time they were 17 years old and my they were still married at 73. My grandfather just passed in 2005.
I think that if you truely LOVE a person, that will not happen. People go into relationships being immature and trying to MAKE love happen, instead of letting it happen naturally...I can say now, I love my boyfriend with all my heart, and I'm already ready to maryy him and have kids....but he's afraid of Long term commitment at this time, so we decided to not take any major steps at this time. we don't want to regret things in the future...like a divorce

No! It can happen but does not HAVE to happen. As a couple, you need to be open and honest with eachother and understand the importance of communication. If you see something changing for the bad in your relationship/marrage speek up and work together on keeping things interesting and alive =)

Who did you marry and why? It does get boring at times, but our sex life is through the roof. It actually has gotten better for me over the years.

Not always true, but many people do feel that way. The trick is to concentrate in the positive things you have as a couple and work (communicate) for try and fix any problems that may arise.
