$20-30 depends on if I make goody bags or just hand out mini chocolate bars.

I prefer to make goody bags, mini choc bars, gum, suckers, tootsie rolls, erasers, stickers, etc. that way no matter what the child likes there's guaranteed to be something in there they like!

I buy about three large bags. It costs money, but its only once a year and it makes the kids happy. I also prop up a sign saying : 2 pieces only, please. That helps to make sure that the kids don't take to much. (Though one year a teen came by and picked up all the candy, and dumped into his sack. )

i dont buy any. two reasons. one-i live in a loft in a 14 story building in the middle of downtown kansas city, and two-im always out on halloween night, so i would never be home to pass any out.
