Some of you may or may not know about the issue with the upcoming FL primary. The state legislators moved the primary date, as a result FL Democratic votes may not count.

Do you think your vote will count if you don't vote?

Write to the DNC. They are punishing Florida for moving up its primary date.

Write to your legislators and start a grass roots campaign over the internet, and the print and broadcast media. Raise hell about it. Your vote should count. Just because one state is trying to be first and others are too it is rediculous it is time we say stop this nonsense and have the election on the original date. It is much more important for Floridians to be heard in the primaries and at the convention even if other states have voted. Florida has her own concerns and issues and they may not equal those of Iowa, New Hampshire, or South Carolina. I for one, go to the polls and vote the way I want even when I know my side will lose. The message is that the win is not necessarily a mandate and that things can change. You might want to consider that when you vote too. Good luck!

Tell your state officials to stop messing with Iowa and New Hampshire's status as the first nominating states. But don't worry, the DNC will count your vote in the end.

Our country needs a standardized election process. We need to eliminate voter disenfranchisement as in Florida 2000 and Ohio 2004. Optically scanned paper ballots are better than the DREs used in Florida and would help eliminate hackers altering our votes as in Ohio 2004. Interestingly, (and still considering hanging chads), the old lever system works best, so why open ourselves up to electronic fraud and huge additional costs and conversions.

Why would certain votes not count just because the primary date has changed?

Just make sure you show up on the right day to vote and your vote will count.

They have ALL the power. They MUST then bear ALL the resposibility for their abymally poor judgement, lies, cheats, theiveing, backstabbing, corkscrewing, and dirty dealing!

The primaries there might not be as crooked as any GENERAL election, but my heart goes out to you in that electoral sewer. Please do all you can to get it corrected before Nov 2008. If you and your neighbors don't, the whole USA will suffer ANOTHER shamlection. Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

a. Register properly.
b. Show up at the correct precinct.
c. Ensure that you are not a convicted felon.

Oops, that probably knocks out half of all democrats.

There has never been a legitimate case of voter disenfranchisement in Florida.

All you have to do is vote. It will be counted.

(However, military service members are often not allowed to vote simply because they're overseas. Shame on liberals for not defending OUR right to vote. Where are all the activists on this issue? Where are all the idiot lawyers pressing cases for us?)

Just fill out the ballot properly, many Floridians seem to have some issues with that.
