I don't have anyone I am with answering questions, but it's kind of the same when contacts answer. I worry that I might hurt somebody's feelings by picking someone else. I still pick what I honestly feel is the best answer and hope everyone will understand that it's about the answer, not them personally.

You are not obligated, but serioulsy, you would be kind of crazy not to.
It's not worth it not to.

Now, if she is playing some kind of game and purposely answering your questions for the best answer points, then don't. Tell tell her in advance that you will not automatically going to pick them for best.

I think obligated is too strong a word. Let's just say I'd be more inclined to choose my spouses answer. I'd be sure to give him a thumbs up first so he'd gets extra points! Can't Hurt!

my wife doesn't care whether i give her BA or not..
actually i'm not married and i don't have a gf (or a boyfriend for that matter) and even if i did i'd still pick what i thought was the best answer, regardless of who it was from.

Of course not. Only pick them if you think their answer is really the best.

You need to be fair to everyone who spends their time and energy answering your question. But thanks for asking and being willing to hear some guidance from others!

There is no cost to picking their answer as the best answer.

There is a possible benefit to picking their answer and there is a definite possible cost to not picking their answer.

Cost/Benefit Analysis = your wife/girlfriends answer IS the best answer ;-)

Nope...not if they don't have the best answer...which you can safely assume they don't or you wouldn't have to get on the internet and actually ask the question...you could have went straight to them and asked I.R.L.

I try to be fair and choose BEST answer because it is best answer. She does answer my questions but I ask so darn many I can choose her once and a while without looking unfair.

Of course not, that would be showing bias.
The best answers get the best answer from me. Peace.
