Ok. I just want to know if you take the morning after pill even if you took the one in the morning and the one at night can you still get pregnant? I know its an emergency pill and isnt like a birth control pill but, if you have unprotected sex after you have tooken the morning after pill will you be able to conceive? I just had my daugter take the morning after pill because she wasn't taking the birth control pills right so I took her to the doctors and they gave me the morning after pill. I had her take one at 3:51pm and one at 3:51 in the morning. I just want to know if she had unprotected sex could she come out pregnant?

It isn't likely but as with all forms of birth control besides abstinence, the possibility exists. If she is taking antibiotics it will render the pill useless. Be careful with that pill though because it can cause heart problems even if you are not a smoker. This should NOT be done on a regular basis at all. Also, be aware that the pill does NOT protect against HIV, herpes and other sexually transmitted diseases. She should be checked separately for those.

You might want to consult your daughter's physican to make sure. From my understanding it causes your body to abort the egg and begin your cycle. So if she has unprotected sex after this occurs then yes. It also makes you (well in my case) violently ill. I wouldn't recommend taking it more than once and for emergency purposes only. Consult her physican.

Now that I re-read the question and noted that you said "they gave me" the pill. Are you talking about yourself? If so and you're under 18 please talk to your parents or trusted adult and get to a doctor ASAP. The morning after pill is not something to play with and pop like candy. Buy some condoms or better yet close your legs!

The morning-after pill (Plan B) is less effective than the withdrawal method. With typical use, there will be 19 pregnancies per 100 women in the first year of use for the withdrawal method. But with perfect use, originally researchers though there would be 19 pregnancies per 100 women in the first year of use, but later they realized that this was an underestimate. The way they deceive people (moms included) is that they tell you the percentage of possible pregnancies that will be eliminated with a SINGLE use. But they do not provide anything to compare it to. The actual rates are exponential (non-linear). The difference between a 75% single use rate and an 89% single use rate is two-fold in terms of the annual rate of pregnancy expected. 75% implies 38 pregnancies per 100 women in the first year of perfect use. 89% implies 19 pregnancies (half as many). The condom reduces 99% of pregnancies with a single perfect use. With a single PERFECT use, the withdrawal method reduces 98%. So, you see, you would have actually been better off telling your daughter to use the withdrawal method than having her rely on Plan B! (It's sad but true. The abortion company pulled a scam on the public because abortion rates were falling and they wanted to deceive people to make them rise again, and that is what they did!)

The morning after pill works "after" you've had sex...if you have sex after the 1st pill you can still get covered. Once you take the 2nd pill it is NOT recommended to have unprotected sex since the pill will only cover u for a few hours...

What I don't understand is why a Dr. would give a young person a morning after pill "just in case she has sex"... Makes no sense to me. Is this doctor an IDIOT???? Why didn't he put her on BC. The morning after pill is so expensive to give out like that "just in case".

Sounds like you are talking about yourself...

But to answer your question YES she CAN get pregnant!!!

Yes she can still get pregnant. It only helps for what she's already done. If she's dumb enough to keep having unprotected sex than maybe she needs to get the shot or IUD. And a brain check. We all make mistakes but c'mon. You take it because you don't want a baby then potentially go out the next day and have sex again without anything??

You really need to call the doctor office. I have not worked in the OB/GYN's office in 2 1/2 years so I really don't remember. That does not sound to healthy and if your daughter is having sex or if something happened to make you take her in maybe she should be on birth control anyways. I started on it to control my cycle and I started to get off until a coworker of mines was raped and I thought to myself I would never want to make that decision so I stayed on it.

one of my friends took the morning after pill and she still got pregnant. so yes it is possible. she had to go in for an abortion (she was extremely young) it was a terrible experience for her. i would recommend putting her on birth control and still urging her to use condoms on top of that. it just isnt worth it.
