The Emergency Position. Used if they drag you out of the sea, or after a heart attack. Look it up as I sleep in that position.

The best position to keep your blood pressure even & your heart from overworking is to lay on your back with your head elevated between 10 to 30 degrees.

To be sure you stay in this position while you sleep & to support areas of your body like your neck, buttocks, arms, etc., you will have to experiment with placing extra pillows in those areas until you find the one that is comfortable for you.

Usually, you also need to elevate your feet between 1/3 to 1/2 of the degrees you have your head elevated.

Try it. You will be surprised at how much more well rested, less congested, less prone to migraines & less achy you are once you find the correct positioning of pillows.

Always lay on your right side, it puts the least strain on the heart. It's like pumping downhill, instead of up.

On your left side.
When I was pregnant all the health care doctors/nurses always advised me to lay on left side, it helps with circulation, which help your heart.
