umm i would try to get the fleas the out of my house even if i didn't have a snake, but since your snake isn't furry (right?) i wouldn't worry about it

If you don't have cats or dogs, you should be able to get rid of any fleas you brought home with just flea powder or spray. Wash your clothes & bedding and use the powder/spray on your furniture and carpets and you should be fine. Make sure to vacuum regularly and that will help.
Good luck!

Fleas are attracted to warm-blooded animals. Your snake will be fine. I'd be more concerned about YOU and guests at your home.

I'd treat for fleas, just make sure nothing living is left inside while you do the treatment.

Deflee the cats and yourself. No they don't affect snakes - snakes eat animals that contain bugs, fleas and ticks! Fleas feed on mammals!

Are you sure you're competant to take care of a snake?

I'm not sure about fleas, but reptiles can sometimes have a condition of mites. We lost a snake to mites. There is a special spray you can put on them, you can find it at most large pet stores.

The fleas won't bother the snake.
Be extremely careful about using any anti-flea remedies, as reptiles are very sensitive to pesticides. Myself, I use boric acid powder (sold as a roach or bug remedy) to control fleas, as it does not harm vertebrates of any kind.

Don't worry, fleas aren't interested in reptiles. Get a spray from a vets for your house if you've bought fleas home. And please encourage whoever is responsible for the cats at the home to get them treated!

I don't believe fleas like snakes, I could be wrong but I would check with your local vet!

this was not a bad question i was wondering myself, snakes can get a host of parasites, and fleas do jump around and bite things even if they don't stay to live on the body.

[NO!] There scales prevent that from happening ,I'm gust guessing, but if you have concerns about a snake and flea problem, be more concerned with the fleas.I know I have been to war with them myself.
