Let's say you run into your former boss on the street and you get to talking.
The reason you quit from your boss' company was because you wanted to be put on full-time but he/she used you going college as an excuse to not do so saying it would interfere with your schoolwork.
You now have a full-time job with benefits making double what you did at your former boss' company, but there's one hitch: you absolutely HATE your current job and your new co-workers with a passion.
You like your boss as a person, but still hold a tiny grudge against them basically forcing you to find a new job. What do you say when your boss asks you how your current job is going?

A.) "I hate it!" and go off on a rant about everything you hate, hinting that you'd take your old job back if you could.

B.) "Ennnnh... It's OK, I guess" and pout stating a couple of things you don't like, but still implying that you "enjoy" it.

C.) "Oh, it's AWESOME!" and lie your butt off just to make them feel bad

Ask him how things are going at his current job! Will he pretend that everything is PEACHY KEEN? "Out with the old in with the new" but how many outs have there been and yet still things remain the same hmm who has been there the longest maybe some of the old schoolers are the problem...

Personally I wouldn't talk to my old boss and the only way I'd want to run into her on the street is with my car.....however, if I was in your situation, I would just say, "the pay is great! " and leave it at that. You aren't lieing and you aren't whining!

I still hold a major grudge against my former boss, so if I came across him anywhere I'd simply ignore him. He didn't listen to me when i worked for him, so I'm not going to waste my breath now.

Combo of C and B. Show appreciation for the good, but do say some things you miss about the other job.

Probably B.
You want to still appear professional, as you want to leave future options of employment w/the boss open, but appear needy and no one will want you.

haha...its the same with girls lol.

I would tell them that it's taking some getting used to, but that it's coming right along and getting better as you gain experience.
