Is Code Lyoko anime? I don't know because it looks well designed and it doesn't have any japanese words written on any episode. Thanks!

The answer is no. Not in the sense most Americans use the word anime.

Code Lyoko, is in fact, French. It is still on the air there as far as I know.

(They are on the same season we are. Which is probably Cartoon Network shows so many re-runs. They are waiting for translation.)

Technically no, and technically yes. No because it was created by the French. To be an actual anime, it must be created in Japan. Anime is short for the Japanese way of saying "animation". But it doesn't refer to everything animated, it means animated shows and movies created in Japan, and originated in Japan.

Technically yes because it has the same style of art real Japanese animes use.
