If so, why aren't you volunteering to put the fires out?

Makes as much sense as you wanting Conservatives to join the military.

Perhaps we realise that it is better that these things are left to trained professionals.

All Men and Women in America need to support the firefighters in California. They worked constantly throughout the day and night for a 24 hours a day with little to no rest to put out the fires throughout San Diego and the San Diego Metropolitan Area.

May God Bless all the firefighters who helped to pur out the fires in California.

I would imagine liberals would be FOR fighting the fires, since they are interested in implementing more federal funding for disaster releif.

They want taxes to pay for it - they aren't interested in personally volunteering.

Being personally willing to volunteer for something isn't necessarily a good litmus test for whether you should vote for it. Not saying I am for the liberals. I'm more of a libertarian. I'm just commenting logically.

I think the nascar con freaks need to shell out a million or so of their winnings this weekend and donate it to San Diego to help the effort of fighting fires...

Oh wait - they did!

Oh Hillary, Oprah, Rosie, Kerry, Edwards, Gore... Jeebers, the way Gore sucks hot air ya think he could hunker down half the flames in two breaths.

Actually most everyone supports the firefighting in California and some have actually done something to help the fire fighting effort, the fire fighters themeslves, and the victims. Volunteers, (no one asks political opinion) are hard at work from all over the West and particualrly from the blue state itself.

Fires, Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Earthquakes, and Volcanoes have no political agenda. They affect all citizens regardless of political affiliation. Tragedies such as this should pull everyone together, not try to make a political statement on who would handle it better.

Awesome question. I am ticked I didn't think of it myself! Very good. I've got to see how they will wind themselves up! Avoiding the question is typical behavior for a Lib, but for any Lib who will face this question head-on, they will receive my respect.

The area that is hit is primarily a Republican district.

So why are you not volunteering to support the effort?
