I live in Central LA, very near Hollywood. I am looking for an affordable film or screen acting class--NOT theatre. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Check out the lists here: http://www.workingactors.com/cgi-bin/page.cgi?g=Training%2F&d=1

Most likely you'll want something under acting. As for specifically 'film acting' there are still many sub-categories. Scene study, improv, audition technique, etc. Just call and ask what their classes entail.

As for affordable, everyone has their own price ceiling. You'll have to call around and ask for pricing info. Some places will let you audit a class for free or half price so you can try it out before committing to a long series of expensive classes, so be sure to ask.

good luck,
Marianne

Try contacting the Steve Eastin Studio. The contact information is at http://www.eastinstudio.com

I've worked with Steve for several years. He is a working actor with lots of credits you'd recognize.
