What are the exact mechanisms used to transplant the Bt Toxin from the bacteria (bt) to corn?

Bt toxin is a protein produced by Bacillus thuringiensis. So it is easy to clone the gene to corn plant. When the corn plant expresses this gene, it has a systemic insecticide against the corn borer.
