I'm definitely not fed up with Christmas yet but i do think it is hyped up way too much and i dislike the fact that it seems to be more of a commerical bonus rather than celebrating the true meaning of christmas- not necessarily the religious side.
Also, Christmas comes round too quickly because supermarkets and stuff are already stocking up by October- jeeze. Sure i can understand that not all families are in the position to go out the weekend before Christmas and blow big bucks on presents and food etc. but i reckon Christmas would be more special if the 'runup' began maybe a month before Christmas, in line with the advent calendar.
Come Christmas, you can't beat a Christmas dinner especially if all your family around on an annual basis- that makes Christmas a special occasion.

I'm not exactly fed up but I do think it would be more exciting if nobody mentioned it till December. Then it would be a real rush (in both senses of the word). I will be spending it in Baku in Azerbaijan. Over the years I've been in Thailand, Egypt, Turkey, China, Pakistan and UK for Christmas and I must say the ones I have enjoyed most have been away. I think people make more effort if it's difficult.

Not at all fed up with Christmas - I LOVE Christmas, and can't wait for it! This year, spending actual Christmas with the in-laws, then going to my family after Boxing Day. It will also be our first Christmas with our first baby who will be here any day now!

No, our family does a grab-bag which save a lot of money and needless shopping. At Thanksgiving all the adults put their names in a bag and we each choose a name. We spend $100 on the gift..no gift checks or gift cert's. So, out of 12 people, we buy one gift. I still buy for my adult kids but that's going to be less this year since 2 out of 3 are now married.
We need to concentrate on the holiday and not the going into dept gift giving..I lost my job and am paying cash for everything. I told my boys they're getting gift cert's and they can buy more after Christmas when everythings on sale!! But we will spend it all together and spoil our granddaughter with toys!!

oI'm not "fed up" with Christmas. I enjoy the holidays. I don't like all the commercializing that goes with it.
What I am fed up with is all the people who are "offended by Christmas and we can't have a Christmas party. It's a "Holiday Extravaganza" or something dumb like that.
Or people who find Nativity scenes and X-mas trees are an infringement in their rights.
That's what I am Fed Up with.

While it's become extremely commercial and nearly artificial, Christmas is still a joyous time. I'm an atheist so the core of the holiday doesn't mean much to me, but any day where people can get together and avoid conflict and finally enjoy themselves is a good day in my book.

Fed up? Christmas RULES.

I will be with my wife and kids in the morning, then take them to grandma's to open gifts and enjoy a magnificent meal with the rest of my family. Best day of the year.
