If she has not worked and you have supported her this whole time you may be screwed.
To make things worse ,in many states ,if you have been married for 10 or more years ,you may have to pay alimony forever.
If you have been married ALMOST 10 years get out quick .

You will be subject to community property split and alimony, but you know what they say " Divorce is expensive ,,, because it's worth it!"

This is far too important a question to be leaving with the Yahoo Answers community.

You need to consult a divorce attorney on this matter. I'm sure that any one of them would give a free consultation. This is something that you need EXPERT advice on. Not amateur speculation.

As far as I know, you have to pay spousal support for two years. It depends on your income and you do not have any children so, just spousal support.
Please see family lawyer and after they listen to your case , they will advice you what to do.

To find out find an attorney and talk to one over the phone. They do not cost anything to talk to over the phone. I do not know for sure as I live in the US.
