This actually reminds of that movie "American Beauty"
The main character had this best friend who all she talked about was sex this and sex that, and having sex with this, that and the other person. Turns out she was a virgin all along.
It could be that your friend is just giving you a hard time, pressuring you to do what she thinks is "cool." If your friend is constantly pressuring and saying all kinds of things to you that you don't feel is right or wouldn't feel right doing, that is obviously not the right kind of person to hang out with. And you shouldn't have to lie to a friend for them to be friends with you or for you to feel the need to fit in with them. There are plenty of good, decent people out there that will tell you that sex and being "dirty" is not all there is to life.
Good friends are hard to find - so when you find them, hold onto them.

Hey, I'm 12 too. What I'd have to say is...how do I explain this..well, first of all: She's only 14, I don't think she ever had sex, and even if she did (I doubt it though), what the heck is she trying to prove with that? You should just tell her that you aren't going to have sex until your actually grownup and if you really really want to know sex positions, well, go search on google, although that would be really lame, but it's your choice.

Come back when your 18, and consider losing her as a friend. Your way to young to even be thinking about sex, let alone positions.

i lost my virginity quite young (not as young as that mind) and regretted it. And the sex was never that good! In fact dare i say crap! It sounds like your friend is a bit if a ho bag and un-fortunately you may become a ho bag by proxy even if you stay a virgin forever.
Remember, a reputation is the easiest thing to get and the hardest thing to lose!

Im 99% sure she's lying, only because I used to lie like that in high school. It's a popularity gig. If you really wanna know if your friend is having sex make a funny face at her and say, "you know this school is loaded with STD's right?" GL (^_-)

Whoa!!
Ya'll are way too young to be thinking about having sex!
It is ok to be a little inquisitive but I think your friend is taking it too far. I wouldn't anything at all!! Just leave it be and simply tell her that you are waiting until you are ready. If she is your friend she will respect this and leave it be.

there is no need to lie to her. Whenever she mentions that again tell her to get a life of her own because even if u did have sex, which u shouldnt because you're too young, that's none of her business.

At 12, you can wait 5-6 years, at least.
And everybody lies about sex. I'll bet she is, too.
