Both teams haven't lost, but LSU is 7-1 and they're #2. Am I missing something here?

honestly, on a neutral field would kansas or hawaii win versus any of the teams ahead of them in the rankings? SE Louisiana, Florida International, Central Michigan, and Toledo were the non-conference games.... talk about cupcake.

OkState and Missouri seem to be the games of note on the Kansas schedule.

Hawaii just flat out doesn't play a soul.

***playoffs would certainly be the answer, hawaii and kansas out in the first round***

LSU's 4-1 against teams ranked in the top 30.

Hawaii hasn't played anyone close to resembling a "good" opponent (hence their terrible computer rankings) and Kansas just played it's first real game (their out of conference and reputation is holding them down, especially with the humans).

Your missing a brain, Hawaii is not ranked higher because they get to live in luxury year round and that is a reward in its self and Kansas can't beat texas or Oklahoma's B team.

Kansas is the only team in college football who is ranked in the top five in both offense and defense. They should probably be #1 right now because their schedule is better than the undefeated teams ranked ahead of them. Hawaii is a different story. They don't play anyone and had to go to OT to beat lousy San Jose State.

in hawaii's case for the past three years i think they have been completely underrated and are not getting good enough opponets to prove how good they really are. even though they face nobody schools look at the incredible numbers that they consistently put up week after week they have outscored their opponets 415-179 in only 8 games this season so far. their real challenge will be against number 21 boise state who is 7-1 but they have not put up near the numbers as hawaii has

Hawaii hasn't played anybody. Kansas has beaten some well known schools but none of them are teams that are very good this year. WAC is a joke the couldn't compete In 1-AA, and the big 12 is having probaly their worst year ever.

Because they are not as popular. Dont take it to heart The BCS is a Joke. Florida has lost 3 and still is in the top 20

And when somebody says they havent played anybody remember that they havent played any body popular enough to be ranked higher. A real playoff system would put issues like this to bed

If you think that either Hawaii or Kansas would beat LSU on the football field, then yes, you are missing something.

because of strength of schedule.

although, i think that hawaii would be higher if they actually got some media coverage, but since it's so far away we're usually all asleep when they play.

colt brennan for heisman!

i'm not too fond of some 3 loss teams in the top 25! i.e: auburn? are you kidding me?

yea but did you know that Hawaii had a lot of other bigger schools on their schedule but the other teams decided to back out of... (e.g. Michigan, Michigan state, etc...) i mean don't get me wrong Michigan and Michigan state aren't that good but at least you could see what they could do against bigger more popular schools... and also think that Hawaii is a little ways away from all of the other schools and i heard it costs like $75,000 to send a team to Hawaii... and also what about the Heisman shouldn't Brennan have one that? look at his stats... multiple NCAA records broken vs. a 40 to something rout by Florida, really makes you think how good Smith is... but yea i think that Hawaii should at least be given a chance to play bigger schools...
