Disadvantages: Some Renewables tend to be intermittent (difficult to predict). This can cause issues for the power system operation which needs reserve power when the wind doesn't blow so that voltage and frequency are maintained within acceptable limits. Renewables tend to be expensive compared to fossil fuel technology (to build) - but less expensive to operate as the fuel is free - although they still need to be maintained. Also, visually intrusive (wind turbines), can effect the environment (bird migration), shipping (offshore technologies), fish (tidal/hydro). Wind turbines can cause annoying 'strobing' as sunlight is broken through the rotating turbines.

Advantages: No carbon emissions, don't contribute to climate change when in operation (although to build the technology there is a carbon cost), adds to diversity of power supply (less reliant on fossil fuels from less stable parts of the world.

Non-renewable -
Advantages - Very efficient, lots of experience in the field
Disadvantages - pollutes environment, a limited resource, difficult to dispose of.

Renewable-
Advantages - Unlimited recourse, clean and environment friendly, easily disposable
Disadvantages - Not efficient, expensive to produce, technology not yet mature or well evolved.
