I am a new Avon representative and was wanting to know what you think of Avon representatives, Avon products, and what you wish would be different or more helpful. Thank you!

Also, if you order from Avon, what are your favorite products and do you find that you order more if you are given samples?

(oops, not suppose to say that, i'm a beautician) from what i have of the jewelry and the clothes they are really nice for the price. i've sold avon, mk, beauticontrol and one other so if you need tips email and i'll give you some inside secrets.

If someone tells me they are an Avon representative I tell them to pass me a brochure!
I love Avon stuff especially the shower gels because you get so much for your money and every single smell is delicious!
The makeup is really good too, I bought one of those eye shadows in a twist up thing (sorry can't remember what its called but it was £5.00) and it lasts all day!

I think it definitely appeals to the older generation. But as far as young people they are more inclined to buy what is hot for today. Personally, I don't like to use avon. I have tried it before, it's just not suited for me. But when you are selling, try to stay more toward the older crowd. Or even do something to draw into the younger generation. Anyway Hope all goes well for you. God Bless!

I love Avon and I used to sell it myself. You have to wear your product and always have a book handy. Dont have to push and remember its not just the product that makes people want to buy Avon its the customer service they recieve form you the representative. Give out some samples but ones the will help you to up sale. Example if they buy a lip liner then give them a sample that may go with that color. Good luck.

We just starting selling avon at work (at a printing company!) and I would also like to know the answer to these questions. Personally I think it's pretty neat. They have some great products ans I'm only 26 so I grew up with avon. My grandma always bought it and my sister tried to sell it.

i love avon makeup.. my fav is mark. i love the lipstick. when someone says avon.. i do ask for a book and i do order. I know some avon reps. and they are very nice. that is how they make some money on the side.. i wouldnt make it a full time job because you need to be out in the street litterally selling yourself to others to buy and you have to have great skills on talking to people and getting them to buy.. i did it for me and my friends but i couldnt get any others.

I don't like all of their stuff, but some things they sell are nice. And it's not only poor housewives who buy from them- my mom is a dermatologist, and she still buys some of their stuff.
I'm not sure I'd buy anything, but I respect that fact that Mary Kay and Avon are one of the few businesses that let women work from home without scamming them.
And btw, I second the advice that you should always make people pay on time- a friend had lots of problems with customers paying late.

I don't think anything negative. I used to sell Avon myself. They have quite a bit of wonderful products available for men and women (and even children).

Good luck with it!

I used to think **eye roll** "oh, god" but since I tried the stuff a couple years ago I'm quite impressed. Put your card or some catalogs with your number on them in local laundromats so women can shop while they do laundry. I used to go to a laundromat and loved to look at the avon books but they were in spanish so I couldn't order from that person.
