No the football gods are the following:
The Steelers from the 70's
The Niners of the 80's
The Cowboys of the early 90's
At best the Patriots are more of the football Hercules, better than the rest of the teams but only good enough to be servants to the following teams above

No, they are a very good football team illegally assembled by their criminal mastermind coach- Bill Bellicose. You know him. He is the guy Bill Parcells mentored and groomed to take over as Jets coach when he retired, and then after one day, jumped ship to the Pats. He has gone way over the salary cap, and cheated his way to the top. Then he gets his teams to rub it in and run up the scores on other teams because he got caught. I wouldn't worry about running into that guy in heaven.

Shouldn't say things like that about the Patriots. Even though it's fun to say... it spurs things like, "they cheat". They are the best team in football though and this may be the best team ever assembled. It's as if they are playing Madden and you go to create-a-team and you choose "All-Madden" and all the players are 99. It's pretty rediculous... but God? No.

They will be if they get 5 Super Bowls...Bill Walsh's 49ers and Chuck Noll's Steelers are still the gods of football, for now...The Patriots will join them this year, and take the mantle next year...Heh, heh...

Id have to say No! Give me a good team they have played? Dont try the Cowboys come on they gave up over 30 against the NY Giants. Not a good defense at all. The Colts have had there way with them the past three meetings and I think they will again this fourth time. Peace out.................

Heh, not by a long shot. You think that they would attain that status after 2-3 good years?
The only football "gods" I can think of are Vince Lombardi and the living "god" Jim Tressel.

Of course they are. Tom Brady is a freakin machine! I wish I had drafted Tom Brady and Randy Moss in my fantasy team. During the draft I passed up Randy Moss on purpose because he had a horrible time with the Raiders, was not sure if he can adjust to a new team... I regret it.
