more likely an attempted homicide if he keeps moving.
if he/she has more than 3 personalities, are the others expected to step in and help?
could the others be charged as accesories?
are the others considered to be under threat as well?
if the situation is diffused, are the victims to do time as well?

That is silly.
It would only be a hostage situation if one of the personalities threatened to kill another personality.

No, its only one person involved. If one personality kills another personality, it doesnt mean the physical body of that person will be dead, only the personality. I've heard of cases where a person with multiple personalities kills another personality in an attempt to become the ONLY personality, but it doesnt mean the physical being of the person died, therefore there is no murder.Its not murder unless the person is killing another person with another physical body. It's hard to say if killing one of your personalities would be concidered suicide, that would be better answered by a pyscologist. But it is possible to hold yourself hostage, you threaten to kill yourself if you dont get what you want.

only if the main personality is threatening one of the lesser ones.. but then its hard to prove since multi-personality people dont usually know of the others..
p.s. multiple personality disorder (dissociative identity disorder) is quite rare has this individual even been "examined" by two psychiatrists? If not this is a completely lame question!

Certainly but then they will form other personalities such as a swat team to prevent the crime or kill the perpetrator personality!
