Why is the US so worried about other countries building Nuclear Weapons, when we have them here in the US?

Anyone who would sanction a terrorist state be allowed to have Nuclear weapons should view some pictures of Nuclear fallout.

If you are referring to the Iran situation, would it not be similar to allowing a group of fighting 9 year olds use of a handgun. And who knows who it might be used against? At least here, we have a sense of accountability, and respect for such weapons. There, at the least it will be used for further acts of terrorism. If not against their own people, against neighbors. This has been seen in the past.

If I had to make the decision to allow them or not. I would have to choose not. For the sake of at least preventing the complete annihilation of an entire nationality of people.

If for any other reason than to NOT allow a terrorist sponsor the option of nuclear capability.

Because we will not use them, unless someone uses them on us...when was the last time we nuked anyone...1945? On the other hand, if Iran had a bomb the first day that they had it someone would set it off in Israel...along with nuclear technology comes responsibility, and most of these countries that are trying to get it, would use it...

Up until now, every country that has nuclear weapons understands that they are for defensive purposes only and that if used, would result in their own destruction.

The current fear is that if a culture which breeds suicide bombers gets nuclear weapons, they would not hesitate to use them even if it caused their own destruction.
