HELP!!! what do i need to get to help get better wireless signal inside my apt.?

i do have a provider and they told me i could go get the adapter thingy to help get better signal inside,but i'm totally lost on what i need. someone help.and please no dumb replys

Sean's answer is a good idea, also if you can afford a new router---wireless N---has more range and power than wireless G. Usually costs about $110.

Try placing the router in the middle of your apt.
